When you add your voice at the call, we store what you gave us: your name if you gave one, your email if you gave one, the community you named, the time you joined, and a salted hash of your IP address — not the address itself — used only to slow down abuse of the form. That is the whole of what you gave us. Alongside it the row carries only what running the form needs: a random id, whether the email was confirmed and when, and the token from your confirmation email, which is what lets that email's link delete the row. The schema is published in the site's repository.
Three companies touch the record, each under its own terms, none permitted to use it for anything but running this: Cloudflare stores it and counts page views on the home page; Resend sends the one confirmation email, and Mailgun carries mail addressed to hello@wetheusers.ai — including, if you use it, your request to be deleted. Each of those three runs on infrastructure of its own, listed on its own site. We add no one beyond them. A fourth company sees something else: GitHub serves these pages and, like any host, sees the address each visit comes from. It never receives the record.
Every confirmation email carries a link that deletes your row, permanently. If you never received or kept that email and want your record found and removed, write to hello@wetheusers.ai and we'll do it by hand.
If you joined without giving an email, there is no link to send you and no way for us to prove a request is yours. What we hold in that case is a first name, a community, and a timestamp. Write to hello@wetheusers.ai, tell us what you entered and roughly when, and we will find it and remove it.
We count page views on the home page only, with Cloudflare Web Analytics. We do not know who you are.
